Near-future Ireland, and the privatised Westmoreland Prison gets an unexpected new occupant – a transgender woman who has been sentenced to this men’s high security prison. Her cellmates are protective towards her, but she makes a powerful enemy in the Warden, Magee, who was a client of hers when she was a sex worker. He chooses to move her to Cell 88 – a notorious place where no prisoner has ever come out alive. Her horrific death unites the prison in their anger at the Warden.
